About the Course

This introductory two or three day course is a common requirement for all Foundation Years and Advanced Training.

Anyone with an interest in Transactional Analysis can apply to join this course. No previous qualifications are necessary.



  • Who is it for?

    The TA101 course  will be particularly useful to you if you work in the helping professions, or in management, communications or teaching. It will also be helpful to you if you are interested in understanding more fully your own behaviour and your relationships with others.

  • Qualification and Accreditation

    This course – the official TA 101 – is recognised by the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) and the European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) as their standard approved introduction to TA. Completion of the course affords you the TA 101 certificate, a necessary requirement if you should later wish to enter accredited training as a TA practitioner.

    • Psychological trading stamps –expressing our feelings.

    • Rackets – how do our feelings get distorted?

    • The Racket/Script System

    • Life Positions –How OK am I in relation to you?

    • Games people play – how do we repeat the same destructive patterns in relationships?

    • Life Scripts – how can we make life predictable?

    • Miniscripts – how we adapt to ensure our acceptance.
