About the Course

Monthly, one-day workshops for anyone who wants to continue developing their understanding of themselves and others using TA principles and models as our shared language. Attendees can choose to come to one or more of the workshops which take place at Berne House. All welcome (post TA101).
 

  • Who is it for?

    A monthly workshop for anyone interested in applying TA to everyday life. 


    We recognise that advanced TA training is not for everyone and that so many people want to continue developing their understanding of themselves and others, using TA. 


    We created this group to welcome anyone who has done a TA101, Foundation Year or any further TA training, and who wants to continue using TA to learn and grow.


    Participants are welcome to attend any or all of workshops.

  • Qualification and Accreditation

    Attendance certificates can be provided if required.


    All hours can be counted as advanced TA training as they are facilitated by accredited TA trainers PTSTA(P), or CPD.

  • Course Content

    We meet to reflect on, and analyse, our personal and professional lives and relationship using TA theories to invite insight and understanding about ourselves and others within our communities and the wider world. The group is facilitated by a variety of TA trainers who use a range of creative facilitation methods. Attendees take collective responsibility for engagement with the process in order to stimulate growth, learning and belonging. Although not a therapy group, sharing is a key element, inviting learning through insight and awareness. The group holds an explicit confidentiality contract.


    Monthly, one day workshops at Berne House on a Thursday from 10 – 5pm UK. The Facilitators bring a broad theme to share or work with emergent process within the group; the overall emphasis is on co-created learning. 







  • Eligibility and Entry

    Anyone with an interest in TA can apply who has completed a TA101 and/or Foundation Year. Also open to Advanced trainees wanting to collect additional TA training hours, as well as those no longer in training.

Our Core Philiosophy

At The Berne Institute we recognise that people come into TA training with widely differing experiences of clinical practice, theoretical knowledge and formal academic learning, and that they differ widely also in their current personal resources and skills. Our courses therefore honour the uniqueness of each individual’s learning and experience and their different learning styles, pace and areas of competence.

The philosophy and practice of Homonomy that respects our mutuality and interconnectedness has been recently integrated into the Berne Institute philosophy. The aim is to expand the focus in our theory and practice from individual change to include a focus on the wider implications of our work on the whole community and our planet.  New Paragraph
