My interests include personal growth, relationship issues and the treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I promote the benefits of meditation to overall health and the achievement of goals. I can be contacted on 07980 915274.
I offer psychotherapy and counselling and I am The Berne Institute Practice Manager. I am in advanced clinical training as a Transactional Analyst. Among the issues I work with are bereavement, relationship issues, stress and anxiety, depression and confidence building. Everyone can face challenges and difficulties in life sometimes. I can provide a safe space for you to talk through your difficulties, explore your feelings and help you cope.
Visit my website www.sharonbakerwellbeing.co.uk to find out more about me and how I work or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a free 30 minute consultation to see if we can work together.
For 20+ years I have worked exclusively in the helping professions providing mental health and drug & alcohol support within the NHS, voluntary organisations and charities. During this time I have worked with individuals, carers and groups; I have done this without judgement, supporting unique and fulfilling lives to emerge.
My aim is to be safe and supportive to you.
Being a member of the legal profession for more than twenty years has taught me that I am able to stay calm under pressure and with difficult subjects. I hope that this means that I have the depth to ‘hold’ you through difficult times.
I also realise that I have developed an analytical and accurate mind. My therapy journey began some years ago, when I realised that my job as a lawyer was not fulfilling me. Consequently, added to the analytical and the accuracy is the empathetic, the all important magic ingredient to understanding. So, I am a bit of a mixed bag. Some might say a full range of 88 keys (I am also very musical).

I believe in the capacity of every person to live authentically and wholeheartedly and be true to who they are. Everyone goes through difficult periods where life seems to go off the rails, and sometimes we need a bit of help to find our balance again. Counselling and psychotherapy help us process uncomfortable or painful experiences, and they can also put us more deeply in touch with who we are, enabling us to live a richer, fuller life.
I use a flexible, empathic approach that is tailored to what my clients need, creating an open, transparent and supportive environment where I work in partnership with my clients towards agreed goals. I see psychotherapy as a process of finding and celebrating the unique spirit of every individual.
I have a BA (Hons) degree in psychology and a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling, with experience in working with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, workplace challenges and trauma. I work with individuals as well as couples. I usually offer face to face sessions in London, and see clients online if they are based elsewhere. During the covid-related lockdown, all sessions are online.
